It’s no secret that the transgender community is particularly vulnerable when it comes to threats of violence, discrimination and unfortunately, suicide attempts. Reports show suicide attempts among transgender people range from 32% to 50% across the countries– meaning more than a third of all trans individuals make a suicide attempt at some point.
This decision is often caused by gender-based violence, systemized discrimination, bullying, harassment, rejection from family and friends and even ill treatment by law enforcement and the health-care system, making the search for help and support a difficult one.
