Participants also will have the chance to hear from Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter and award- winning journalist, Shon Gables- host of TV's "Black Enterprise Business Report."

"We understand the importance of having advisors who are representative of the ethnic and cultural diversity found in communities across America," said Thomas Stephens, who heads up MetLife's Northeast Agency Distribution Group. "We're proud to partner with The American College to educate and broaden the support network of African-American financial professionals, and we're especially honored to be joined by Mayor Nutter and Ms. Gables this year."
