Ruthi Byrne: some folks know her as former Governor Brendan Byrne's wife...others know her as the woman with the fabulous St. John's suit. But...Ruthi Zinn Byrne is a force has other attributes that add to the list of reasons people look twice when she walks into the room.

Ruthi is the founder and sole owner of the public relations and marketing firm, Zinn Graves & Field in Florham Park, New Jersey where she directs a professional staff that is recognized for helping a diverse client base. Her clients include corporations and businesses as well as large municipalities, utilities, state and county organizations, educational and healthcare institutions, a public broadcasting network and other non-profit groups.

Her success today has its roots in the mid to late 1970s when, as the Executive Director for Citizens for Charter Change, she spearheaded the effort of the League of Women Voters to change Essex County government. She was able to build on that experience, using it as a foundation for creating a distinctive company that encourages out of the box thinking.

As the business environment has evolved, Ruthi has led the change within her own firm, moving beyond traditional public relations and marketing to embrace new areas of communication, carving out a unique niche for her company by offering board governance consulting, public acceptance and public affairs strategizing, community relations and crisis management. Through this approach and a willingness to continuously redefine the firm, she has been able to apply fresh insights, using an imaginative approach and problem solving skills to help each client, working closely with them to ensure a successful communications campaign for each circumstance. Her talented and experienced staff works in concert under her tutelage to plan and implement thoughtful, relevant and appropriate public relations and marketing campaigns.
